Auckland Regional Public Health Service (ARPHS) can confirm that five people associated with the Mt Roskill Evangelical Fellowship church have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
ARPHS is investigating the source of the cases and has asked that anyone who attended the following events get tested as soon as possible:
Anyone who attended these events and who is currently unwell, or has experienced any signs of COVID-19 in the past two weeks, should stay at home - except when getting their test. They should wear a mask and travel directly to and from the testing centre, then stay in self-isolation until they have returned a negative test result AND until 24 hours after they are completely well.
An ARPHS spokesperson says that anyone who attended one or more of the above events, but who is currently well and has NOT experienced any COVID-19 symptoms in the past two weeks, does not need to stay at home - but should still get tested as soon as possible.
“This will help to provide assurance that they do not have COVID-19, or have not had it previously. It will also help us in our investigation.”
The symptoms of COVID-19 may include one or more of the following:
Anyone experiencing any of these symptoms should stay home, get tested and call their local doctor or Healthline for advice: 0800 358 5453. Healthline is a free, 24/7 service with interpreters available.
A list of testing locations is available here.
