You can continue daily life as normal unless the Close Contact you live with develops symptoms, or you develop symptoms. I live with someone who works or studies at Papatoetoe High School. What do I need to do?

Everyone in a Papatoetoe High School household needs to remain at home until the student/s or staff member they live with has had a negative result from a test taken this week (on or after Monday 22 February).

This means that everyone in a Papatoetoe school household must stay away from work or any other school, educational facility or community setting (e.g. the supermarket or any other place outside the home), until all the students or staff members in their household have had a negative test result.

Household members who are not students or staff do not need to be retested, unless they have symptoms.

Students and staff will need to have a negative test result from a test taken on or after Monday 22 February before they can attend school. There will be further information on when the school will reopen.

There will be testing at the school this week, or students and staff can visit a community testing centre. For information on testing locations in Auckland, visit www.arphs.health.nz/covid19test.

Any students, staff and household members with any symptoms should call Healthline on 0800 358 5453 immediately for advice, and stay at home, even if they have had a negative test result.

What general advice should I follow?
