Three Kings School parents told student with COVID-19 not at school while infectious
A student at Three Kings School has tested positive for COVID-19, but did not attend school while infectious.
Auckland Regional Public Health Service (ARPHS) is advising staff and parents that the risk to any other students or staff to be very low, and the school remains open and safe to attend.
An ARPHS spokesperson says it is very unlikely there was any exposure to the virus at the school. Students and staff do not need to stay at home or get tested, unless they have any symptoms.
There is only one close contact in the school community, someone who was not exposed at school. They are currently in self-isolation.
The student with COVID-19 is one of the cases announced today. They and their family are also in isolation. Public Health is monitoring their health and will provide clearance when the student can return to school.
Everyone in Auckland should continue to watch out for COVID-19 symptoms:
Please call your doctor or Healthline (0800 358 5453) if you or your child has any symptoms. They will explain what to do.
